CLOSINGS AND DELAYS 2023-2024

When conditions cause delays or building closures, announcements are made in several ways. Announcements are sent via email, and are placed on the district website at lakelandschools.org, on the district social media Facebook page (www.facebook.com/lakelandschooldistrict),  and Instagram page (www.instagram.com/lakelandcsd), and conveyed via the district's emergency calling and text message system. You may opt-in to the SchoolMessenger text message alert system by texting "subscribe" to 67587. Reply Y to subscribe.

Please be sure to have your most current email and phone number updated with the district. Call your school directly with any updates to your contact information. 

In the event that the district has exhausted our five permitted closures, we will implement virtual/remote learning on the sixth day and beyond. 

PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE TRANSPORTATION OFFICE REGARDING DELAYS

Students who do not use the buses should NOT arrive prior to the delayed opening starting time for their respective schools, as noted below.  The start of school may be delayed 1, 2, or 3 hours, depending on conditions at the time.  See the schedule below for details. Bell schedules for the middle and high schools can be found on each school's website.
