6120.1 Equity in the Provision of Support for the Curricular, Co-Curricular and Interscholastic Athletic Program
Objectives of the Instructional Program:
The Board of Education endorses the fundamental principle of equality of opportunity in public education and seeks to implement this principle through the provision of equitable support for the curricular, co-curricular and interscholastic athletic programs.
Accordingly, the Superintendent shall:
1. Prepare the annual budget with provisions for equitable expenditures for staffing, supplies, equipment and services for the needs of all the students in curricular, co-curricular and interscholastic athletic programs.
2. Administer and supervise the annual expenditure of budgetary funds to achieve and maintain equity in the allotments given to the schools of the District.
Equitable allotments are defined as fair and proportionate expenditures according to standards established by the Superintendent and subject to the approval of the Board of Education.
