2110 Line of Authority

The Superintendent of Schools shall delegate to another central office administrator the authority and responsibility for making decisions and taking such actions as may be required during the absence of the Superintendent.

To ensure that the District’s school buildings are always under the authority and supervision of a building principal or acting principal in the building principal’s absence, the Superintendent of Schools shall designate, at the start of each school year, an assistant principal or other certified administrator as acting principal when a building principal is absent from his/her school building.
