1344 Disclosure of Student Images/Video/Examples of Work

Throughout the school year, the Lakeland Central School District celebrates the accomplishments of its students. As a part of this, the District may use photographs, digital images and/or video recordings of students, as well as the following types of information, in  articles about the School  District  in  local newspapers, District emails, the District website, the Yearbook, the  District’s Social Media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.), and by both local television stations and the District cable television channel while a student of the District:

  • Name
  • Participation in activities and sports
  • Degrees, honors, and awards received
  • Photographs, digital images, and/or videos of student participation in school and school-related activities
  • Interviews regarding school-related activities

Disclosure of student images, videos, and examples of work will not be made if the parent/guardian of the student provides a signed Media Opt-Out Form to the main office of the school building the student attends.
