Expectations of Students1. Be Cooperative. (Be in your seat by the time the bell rings). If you arrive late, hand in your pass and go quietly to your seat without disruption.
2. Be Prepared. (Bring notebook/binder and a writing utensil everyday, complete homework,
review your notes, study vocabulary, study for tests and quizzes, keep track of important dates,
follow directions, and ask questions related to our topics.)
3. Be Academically Honest. (The work you complete is expected to be your own. Copying and
cheating on homework, class work, projects, tests, or quizzes is dishonest and is forbidden. There
are very severe consequences for submitting dishonest work including a call home, a letter in
your school file, and a zero on the assignment or on the test/quiz/homework.) Using translating websites is not allowed. These sites do not translate content, and are rarely correct.
4. Be Respectful. (Listen well to the designated speaker, act politely to everyone, avoid
disruptive behavior, stay on task and on topic, and use class time wisely)
5. Be Attentive. Concentrate on our class. Eliminate distractions to you or to others such as
food, calculators, phones, ipods, other school work, books, photos, gadgets, makeup, sports
equipment, etc. Stay awake during class
6. Be responsible Advocate for yourself and realize when you need extra help or when you have a question.
