The connecting corridor is fully designed, but needed final budget financing approval this past May.  When the bids were returned for the project they were significantly greater than what we had budgeted. After discussions with architects and contractors, we determined that many contractors who would have potentially bid lower on the project were already committed to other projects. In addition, the work on the project would have started later and would have extended well into the new school year creating possible safety concerns. (read more)

While we may not often think about it, a nutritious breakfast and lunch play a critical role in health, well-being, and the ability to learn and be successful. For some students, the school lunch may be their healthiest meal of the day.
We are extremely fortunate to have a food service department in Lakeland Central School District that is recognized across New York State not only for its excellent quality and service but for its sound financial management and generous contributions to the community. (read more)

Lakeland will hold Kindergarten and Universal Pre-K (UPK) registration on Monday, February 3 through Wednesday, February 5 from 9:00 AM to 12 noon and on Thursday February 6th from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM.  Registrations will take place at your "home" Elementary School Building which is the building your child will attend at the time of Kindergarten.
