Keri A. Fiore fills vacancy on the Board of Education
The Lakeland School District Board of Education at its November 2 Work Session named Cortlandt Manor resident, Keri A. Fiore, to fill a vacancy on the board.
A resident of Cortlandt Manor for five years, Ms. Fiore is an attorney licensed to practice in New York State specializing in Family Law. She has been a member of the Board of Education’s Advocacy Outreach Committee. Fiore has also served as the Vice President of the Van Cortlandtville Elementary School PTA. Ms. Fiore is married and has one child currently attending Lakeland Schools.
Ms. Fiore will serve until the May 15, 2018, Budget and Trustee vote. Prior to appointing Ms. Fiore, the Board examined their options which included making an appointment or holding a special election. Ms. Fiore replaces Elizabeth Kogler who previously stepped down from the board for personal reasons.
