Board of Education Adopts 2010-2011 Calendar At its March 4th meeting, the Lakeland Board of Education adopted the 2010-2011 school district calendar. The calendar calls for schools to open on September 2 for students. The last day of school is June 24, 2011. Mid-winter recess will be Feb 21-25. Spring recess will be April 18-22.
