Birds of the Rainforest

Exploring appropriate websites and reference books the fifth grade students learned about birds of the rainforest. Each student created a bird with authentic characteristics and scaled to proper size. The students created papier mache sculptures of the birds and formed to scale out newspaper and masking tape then used glue and water for the papier mache process. Last, the birds were painted using authentic colors.
