We like to play football. You must learn the rules and plays, if you want to play football. We will tell you about some football rules and plays.
One play is the Hail Mary. In this play a team has four wide receivers go long (the receivers run down the field) and the quarterback passes the ball to a receiver that is open (does not have a lot of the opposing players near him.) Hopefully, one of the receivers catches the ball and scores a touchdown!

The quarterback on a team needs to remember many plays. During the game he tells the players which play he wants them to carry out.

Another play is the Quarterback Sneak. After the ball is hiked to the quarterback, he fakes a throw and then runs with the ball. The offensive players block the opposing players and the quarterback runs behind his players as far down the field before he is tackled.

Playing football for fun!

Football also has very important rules. These rules help keep the players from getting hurt during a game. One rule is a player should not go offsides. Which means a player can’t go over the line of scrimmage. The line of scrimmage is the line the ball is placed on before the play begins. When a playes goes offsides the penalty is the other team gains five yards and it is the same down.

Another rule is when you're trying to tackle someone you can’t grab his neck or helmet. This a very big penalty!

We really like this sport and we hope you like it too!
