The Character Education Committee has expanded their program over the past couple of years. One area in which they feel character awareness is necessary is on the playground.  The Peaceful Playground program is a fundamental way to bring character education outside of the school as well as inside.  With great enthusiasm, our school community has already embraced the theme of a peaceful playground.

"The Bully Rap"
By Mrs. Semcken and Students

A bully hurts bodies and feelings.
They do so over and over again.

You know they're not truly sorry
when they do it over and over again!

Now, everybody makes mean mistakes
once in a while or two.
But when you're sorry and you mean it
you'll try NOT to do it again, that's true.
("The Bully Rap" continued)
A bully ISN'T sorry,
That's why they hurt people, time after time!
"Just kiddin'." or "Just playin'." That's no excuse, or reason, or rhyme to accept their bad behavior, or to take their nasty words.
So, shake it off, and find a true friend.
A bully shouldn't be heard!
Yeah, shake it off, and find a true friend.
A bully shouldn't be heard.
I said, shake it off, and find a true friend.
A bully shouldn't be heard!

Hurting people hurt people.
Stay nice. Be kind.
Hurting people hurt people, stay nice!
