Many immigrants that came to America became famous; therefore we know a lot about them and their contributions. The other millions of immigrants that we don't know about built America by farming the land, working in factories and mines, and building the cities and towns. Immigrants are still constantly changing America. Some influences are on the music we listen to, the food we eat, and the words we use in our language.
We are sure if you look around your classroom, many of your classmates' relatives immigrated to America from different countries. There are so many immigrants from different countries that shaped America. We have only told you about some of them.
