| Tutankhamen was one of the most important and well known pharaohs. He began his reign when he was only nine years old. His real name was Tutankhaton, but his name was changed when his old religion was practiced again and when Amon was worshipped as one of the most important gods. Like his father, Smenkhkare, King Tut died at an early age. In 1350 B.C he died of a head injury. Even though he was only nineteen years old, King Tut was buried in the Valley of the Kings. |
