Ancient Egyptians were very fascinating people. They believed in many gods, goddesses, and myths to explain the world and its wonders.  Ancient Egyptian religion guided every aspect of Egyptian life. The Egyptians had as many as 2,000 gods and goddesses.

Temples were considered the homes of gods and goddesses.  A temple was dedicated to a specific god or goddess.  The temple was where the pharaoh and  priests would worship that god or goddess.
