Statue
The statue was  constructed of wood and placed in the sarcophagus.  It was thought that the statue would  bring food to people in the afterlife.  The statue's left foot was in front of the right. This   symbolized power.

Sandals
Both men and women wore sandals made of papyrus, a reed that grew in marshes along the Nile River.  Some sandals were made of vegetable fiber or leather.  Frequently,  people walked barefoot.
