The Board of Education will hold its regular business meeting on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lincoln-Titus Elementary School, 10 Lincoln Avenue, Crompond. The meeting is open to the public and there are two opportunities for public comment. Go to BoardDocs to view and download the agenda.  The next Board of Education meeting is a Work Session on November 1, 2018 @7:30 PM in the Administration Building.

Go to the Online Sports Certification web page to complete and submit the form. After you submit the form, please check your email inbox frequently for its status. Please note that failure to initiate the sports certification process prior to the deadline date could prohibit a student-athlete from trying-out and/or participating on an athletic team. Physical Examination forms dated after November 1, 2017, must be on file in your child’s school Health Office.

The Cortlandt Community Coalition, in collaboration with the Hendrick Hudson Free Library, is offering an overview of the current trends in youth vaping. Learn the lingo and learn to recognize the devices and products. Although there is no opportunity for public comment at work sessions, there are two opportunities for public comment at the Board's regular monthly meeting.  Meeting Agenda. The next Board of Education meeting scheduled is a business meeting on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 7:30 PM in the Thomas Jefferson Elementary School.

Three Lakeland Central School District students have been named 2019 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists. They are among 16,000 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists nationwide. The scholarship organization announced the names recently in the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. The students named represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors. The semifinalists are: Lakeland High School are Alison D. Bretti and Jothi M. Ramaswamy. Walter Panas High School, the semifinalist is Riti Bhandarkar. They now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million that will be offered next spring. About 90 percent of the Semifinalists are expected to attain Finalist standing, and about half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar® title.
