District Recognizes School Guidance Counselors

The district is recognizing School Guidance Counselors this week as part of the celebration of National School Counseling Week. At a luncheon on Wednesday, Board of Education members and administrators were on hand to congratulate the Walter Panas HS counselors and to express the district's gratitude to them for all their hard work in helping students achieve school success and plan for their futures. On hand to express their gratitude to the counselors were Board of Education Trustees and district and school administrators. Additional professional recognitions are planned at Lakeland High School and Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School.
Spotlight- Walter Panas High School: "Be a Hero" Mural

Students in the art club at Walter Panas High School have been using their time to replace an older mural in the school with a newer mural. By painting comic book super heroes, the students are promoting the idea that everyone should be a hero.
