Many families in the Lakeland district experience significant hardship in providing for even the most basic of needs.  So many families were and continue to be helped through our Lakeland Caring Closet, supervised by our district social workers. Families are supported not only during the holidays but also throughout the year as financial hardships present.

I am reaching out to you to ask for your continued generosity by donating gift card(s) to local merchants. Gift cards are the best option, as it will allow families to do their own shopping, making personal selections. The Lakeland Caring Club is also able to accept cash donations, if that is your preference.

Gift cards from the following have been provided to families: A&P, Shoprite, Stop & Shop, Walmart, K-Mart, ToysRUs, Old Navy, Sears, Gas Stations, Lakeland Deli, McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s Regal Cinemas.

If you are able to help, please send your donations to your building social worker. They will distribute to the families.
