Section 2

Benjamin Franklin Elementary School aims to provide our students a well-balanced learning environment which fosters their intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth. We work hard to provide a variety of innovative learning experiences for every student. A interdisciplinary approach to instruction is used which helps make our programs meaningful and relevant for children. In addition, to reading/language, mathematics, social studies, science and technology, our students have the opportunity to participate in both vocal and instrumental music programs, the arts as well as physical education activities and recreational sports.

Ms. McIlvenny and Tom

We recognize that the education of the child is a team effort; we believe that the interaction of home, school, and community is an essential component in the educational process. Parents are our educational partners, who work through the Parent-Teacher Association to create a variety of enrichment programs such as book fairs, publishing center, assembly programs, after-school activities and school wide and grade level nightly activities. This is a valued partnership. We are proud of our school, students, teachers and parents!
