When I first entered Guiding Eyes, I didn’t think it was much. Our ThinkQuest team had to wait about half an hour until our guide showed up! But when I entered the kennel, (the place where they keep all the dogs,) it was awesome!
We were racing around, trying to get all the dogs on film! (We brought digital cameras.) We also learned a lot from our guide about the guide dogs. It was really, really FUN!
Did you know that guide dog trainers use stickers to keep track of what the guide dogs eat? That is just one of the many things we learned at Guiding Eyes. Also, did you know there’s a special graduation room just for graduating dogs? What about talking computers? Did you know there’s talking computers at Guiding Eyes? There was a ton of cool stuff at Guiding Eyes and the talking computers were just one of them.
As you can see, Guiding Eyes was very, very, cool. Except for the waiting. If I rated the trip on a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being the worst and 10 being the best, I’d rate it 11!
