Home

All students from K-5 participated in and benefited from participating in a celebration of Benjamin Franklin's 300th birthday. Scientist, inventor, diplomat, humorist, philanthropist, and entrepreneur, Benjamin Franklin is one of the most remarkable and influential Americans of any generation. Students participated in the study of his life and accomplishments while taking a stand to make a positive impact. On May 17th, students and teachers enjoyed a visit from Ben Franklin himself and Gene Barretta, author of Now and Ben. The two gentlemen explained the art of writing and illustrating a book. Later, the book was read aloud while Benjamin Franklin explained his inventions and his life. More specifically, he spoke about his ideas and inventions and how they can to fruition.
