Students are expected to take each AP Exam on its scheduled date and time as outlined by College Board. These exams are difficult in that they reflect the college-level work that occurs throughout the year. Students who score a 3, 4, or 5 on an AP exam may earn college credits and/or advanced college placement. The policy concerning AP credit varies from college to college.
As stated in the 2016-2017 High School Program of Studies, the Lakeland School District expects that students enrolled in AP courses take the AP exam for each AP course. Please note if you choose not to take the exam or to drop the course your Guidance Counselor must be contacted by January 28th, 2017.
Registration will open on December 1, 2016 and each AP Exam will cost $97. After February 1, 2017 there will be a late registration period, ending on February 17, 2017. During the late registration period each AP Exam will cost $110.
Here are the important dates for the registration process:
Thursday, December. 1, 2016 at 2:11 PM - Registration Begins
