Dear Parents:

We are so excited about our students who took first place in the state championship for Destination Imagination!  Robert Bruce, Brian Holderman, Nicole LaRosa, Tarilyn Medlar, and Nick Watson, will be competing as the Five Flippin’ Flap Jacks; and Phillip Christie and Evan Cincotta will compete on the team from Walter Panas High School.  All of these students will compete at the global competition May 21—24 in Tennessee.  Our students will be competing against teams from all over the world.  We wish all of them the best of luck!

We had many students submit entries for the Doodle for Google contest.  Students had to create a design for Google, using the Google logo.  Students were able to use any medium to create the design.  They had to provide a title and a supporting statement of up to fifty words explaining their “What if….?” position.  Each school is only allowed to submit six entries so our faculty picked the best six and have submitted doodles by Aviv Tchernichovski, Ashwini Karve, Rachel Tsao, Jared Snipe, Rachel Lapadula, and Cara Murray.  Students can win prizes ranging from certificates to a $10,000 college scholarship.  We wish them the best of luck and thank all who entered!
