Remote Control

Our lawn mower will be remote controlled. This is good for when it's a hot day outside - you can be inside your house with air conditioning using a remote control to operate your lawn mower. The remote control can reach up to a 300 foot range to the lawnmower.

This is how it works: by pressing a button on the remote control, a beam of invisible infrared rays is transmitted to the set. The beam has a digital code signal, which the receiver unit in the set detects and decodes it. The lawn mower will also have a camera on it and a screen on the remote control so that you don't even have to watch the lawn mower from the window.

The screen on the remote will have only two colors: it will start off with green, then when the lawn mower cuts the grass the part it cuts will turn blue so you know that's the part that's already cut. The controller will also be like a video game so that it will be easier to control.

There is also one more feature, this feature is that the lawnmower will be solar powered. A solar cell turns light into electricity. That means that the sun gives it energy so that it runs on light. If the sun isn't out that day it will have a battery back up. Since it dosen't use gas it won't pollute and will save our fossil fuels because we're running out of them. This lawn mower will have a maxium speed of 15 mph so you can get it finished up a lot faster. It will also be air cooled so the motor doesn't get too hot and there won't be that much noise, and you will save money because you won't need to buy gas.
