This is our Weeping Rosewood tree in February.

Observations:

  • There is a weeping rosewood in our school yard. It is near the climbing equipment. It is very shady.
  • The leaves are green. They aren't very big. They are very curly. They aren't side by side. One will be above and another will be below. Some stems had baby leaves on them.
  • The branches are forked. They branches get thinner and thinner. They also get a bit smaller. There was a terrible termite trail up the tree. Lots of black ants were there. A white spider was on the trunk.

And here it is in April

Observations:

  • The tree does not look very different at first but when we looked closer we could see that it is starting to lose its leaves.
  • There are no new leaves or shoots growing.
  • There are some little dead twigs hanging off the branches and lying on the ground.
