Our Tree in Autumn

Our Fall Tree

This is our tree.  It is located at the front of our school.  It is a sugar maple tree.  The leaves turn a bright red.  It has seeds like little helicopters.  We saw ladybugs on our tree.  We did not see any birds or nests in our tree today.  We each picked a special leaf from our tree to put in our tree journals.  The bark was rough and black at the bottom of the tree.  It turned gray nearer to the top of the tree.  Some leaves have already fallen off the tree onto the ground.  Most of us could put our arms all around the tree and give it a hug.  Everyone loves looking at our tree in the fall!

Fall Tree

We got to pick a special leaf from our tree for our Tree Journal. When you roll the mouse over the picture above, you see the view we got when standing under our tree.
