Our Tree in Autumn

Fall Tree

The tree in our school garden is a beautiful tree in the fall. The many colorful green leaves on the top of the tree have changed to yellow and amazing oranges. The tops of the leaves are pointy. The edges look sharp! The long, slim branches have no fruit on them, but if they did it would be an animal city! The thick brown bark is ready for winter’s cold air. Our healthy tree has changed but it is still beautiful just as long as it stays in the Charles Wright garden.

As you can see, fall in Connecticut is cool. We wear sweaters, sweatshirt, and usually long pants. When looking at our chart, we noticed that our days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer.

Within one week of taking this photo, our tree changed a lot. The leaves were all changed to bright yellow, orange and red! Many of the leaves began to fall in our courtyard.

SPRINGTIME BEAUTY

The breeze feels refreshing under the beautiful blossoming tree in our garden. Pink colored blossoms surrounded by shiny golden brown leaves are growing on every branch. The small fragile buds are waiting to open up. If you smell the delicate flowers close up they smell like berries, sweet and damp. As a cool breeze rustles the foliage, the refreshing shade, and the heavenly song to the birds will tempt you to sit under our tree. This tree has probably seen many spring days over the years. So please come and enjoy our tree, even if it makes you sneeze!
