Track Your Musher

Students will work in teams and track a single musher throughout the race. You can choose a musher to follow or use one of these mushers:

Gary Paulsen is the author of many books, including "Hatchet" and is an avid dog lover.
Jeff King is recognized as the "winningest Musher in the world," having won the race three times. He has traveled over 100,000 miles on a dog sled. His daughter, Cali, was a winner of the Jr. Itidarod.
Martin Buser competes in the race each year. He spends a much of his personal time speaking about the humanitarian care of animals. He is married to a teacher and has two sons, who are named after Iditarod checkpoints! (Nikolai and Rohn)
DeeDee Jonrowe placed second in 1998. In 2003, she started the race just three weeks after completing chemotherapy.
Katie Davis, 26 years old, is a rookie this year. She graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in Biology.
