KUDOS to Sue Erichsen for being featured in Inspiration's May 2002 Newsletter, "Flashes of Inspiration." The article deals with how the program helps students organize their thoughts prepare for the Regents exams.

In the class, "Inspiring Minds Want to Know," teachers learn how to use the graphic organizer software program, Inspiration. After learning the mechanics of the program, they are given plenty of time to apply the skills to their own curriculum, and have prepared many webs to use with their students in the classroom, with other teachers, or for parents, as a presentation tool.

Grade One

Here is a web to use on "Meet the Teacher"  night to provide an overview of the third grade curriculum.

English teacher, Sue Erichsen, shows us just one of the many webs she created for her 10th grade students who are reading "Huckleberry Finn."

Special Education teacher Andrea Rothstein, created a character web for her students to use in their study of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet." The students completed the web and then used it as a framework when writing their character analysis essay.

Business Education Teacher, Debbie Hauser, created an Accounting web for her business education students.

Enrichment Teacher Sally Simon created these graphic organizers. The first three were designed to accompany a WebQuest on the Boston Massacre. The other one is to introduce a unit on flight.

Art Teacher Polly Halim (Thomas Jefferson School) created a web worksheet for her students to complete to compare the artists, Picasso and Matisse.

Art Teacher Lindi Gessin (Lakeland High School) created a web on Careers in Art for her high school students.
